Obituary for Rose Marie Mullan (Gershowitz)
Rose was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Rose also lived in Virginia and Massachusetts. Rose graduated from Lowell High School in 1950- becoming her family's first high school graduate. Rose married James W. Mullan in 1956, and raised two daughters. In 1974, Rose earned a degree in education from Utah State University. Later she earned a Masters degree from Heritage College. Rose made her homes in Massachusetts, Virginia, Arkansas, Utah, Olympia, Washington, before settling down in East Wenatchee in 1978. Rose was a teacher for many years until her retirement at Grant Elementary in East Wenatchee.
Rose's many interests included spending time with her family and friends, golfing, and travel.
Survivors include her daughters Georgianna (Peter) Keller of Federal Way, Frances (Brian) Mullan of Melbourne, Florida, and her granddaughter Katherine Keller of Federal Way. Rose is survived by her loving companion and best friend Stephen Snow of East Wenatchee. Rose leaves many wonderful friends who remember her fondly.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Rose's favorite charity the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
