Obituary for Karin Louise Main (Smith)

Karin L. Main, 66, a longtime resident on the Clockum, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
She was born on August 15, 1951 at Bremerton, Washington to Thomas and Betty (Chilson) Smith. As a young child, they moved to the Wenatchee Valley and the family settled in Malaga. She attended Malaga Elementary, Pioneer Jr. High School and Wenatchee High School. She went to work in the fruit industry and was picking apricots when she met her future husband, Robert T. “Bob” Main. They were later married on July 24, 1981 in Wenatchee. They made their home together in East Wenatchee prior to moving to the Clockum over 30 years ago.
Karin enjoyed watching western movies and was a big John Wayne fan. She loved playing catch with her boys, family barbeques and Pepsi-Cola.
She is survived by three children, Jason Main and Tara Ramos both of the Clockum and Jeremy and his wife, Amanda Main, Wenatchee; three step-children, Bobby Main, Oregon, Branson Main, Malaga and Nancy Main, San Jose, California; his mother, Betty V. Smith, Malaga and seven grandchildren. Karin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Main in 2014, her father, Thomas Smith and her sister, Carol Pitt.
