Obituary for Dorothy M Schreier

Dorothy M Schreier
Dottie Schreier went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening, January 13th, 2018 at her home, Senior’s Delight Adult Family Home in East Wenatchee.
She was born on October 12th, 1937, she and her 2 beloved sisters, Valerie & Mary were adopted by Dorothy & (later by) Wright Merrifield. They grew up in beautiful Southern California, she had a passion for horses and loved to ride on the beach below their house in Malibu. The girls had oodles of fun pretending to be their favorite cowboy stars - Dottie was the oldest (and the boss), so she always got to be popular Roy Rogers or Dale Evans, Val was Hopalong Cassidy and Mary was Gene Autry.
She married Joseph Schreier in 1960. They were married 57 years before he passed away late last year. They had 2 children, Ted Schreier of Albuquerque, NM, married to Felecia, who have 2 sons, JT & Jo and Liz Scott, married to Dave of East Wenatchee, WA. Dottie has 2 sons from her first marriage, Jerry and Ron.
She had a prolific creative side! She could sew, bake, watercolor paint and last, but not least, she made lovely beaded jewelry. She was a voracious reader, books and magazines, and of course, the Bible. She and Joe loved to travel and they saw much of the United States over the years. Her christian faith and church family were ultimately important and she attended services until she was physically unable.
She is missed, but we are happy she is in heaven - mentally & physically whole again!
